After breakfast we walked to the old town/port area. Since it was so nice we were going to take the floibanen to the top of the mountain outside Bergen but first we hung out some at the port and waited until the little bit of hazy burned off. We seem to attract school children when we ride the floibanen, last time they were very little, today more like middle school. The ride to the top was uneventful. Once there we enjoyed beautiful views of Bergen. We then went on a hour hike to a lake a little higher up the mountain. Then back down for a quick lunch of pizza. After lunch we explored Bryggen, the old part of Bergen where the building are from the 1300's and the time when German merchants established the Hanseatic League in Norway and Bergen. Its a very picturesque part of town and we spent about one hour there. I got off cheap as Barbara only made one purchase.
